Jacquard Loom Demos @ Big Green House

See ongoing Jacquard Weaving demos throughout the Crawl weekend at the Big Green House.

The Textile Art Department at the Big Green House will be featuring Jacquard Weaving demonstrations throughout the Crawl weekend.

Jacquard Weaving with punch cards is early industrial technology and often viewed as the precursor of the modern computer. The loom is computer assisted, woven by hand. Artists today are using Jacquard woven pieces in installation and conceptual works as well as designers for fashion and interiors.
